Review:

"I swear to God and all that's holy I wish I could take it back."

I can't believe I got this book four days since its release but it was all worth it. This is definitely worth the goddamn wait! I've been dying to know what's next with Aidan and Emma after I've read The Proposition, and thank goodness, this started only weeks ago since that last awful scene.

When I started reading it, I was sure Aidan will work hard for Emma's forgiveness but I didn't expected what happened. My chest literally ached at some parts but I can't blame Emma. After what he did, of course he deserved it but I can't help but feel sorry for him. He was obviously miserable and he's beyond regretful.

Despite grovelling and sending loads of sorry notes, Emma won't budge. And to add salt to his wound, Pesh makes an entrance and confuses the heck out of Emma's feelings. Surprisingly, I wasn't annoyed with Pesh despite being in Aidan's side. He was obviously concerned and sincere with whatever he felt for Emma and well, we can't really blame him. Emma is a sweet girl. What I liked about Pesh was he respected Emma as well as Aidan's role in her life. And he really did helped these two, not just with flying but also in making them realise how much they love each other.

"And you know why? Because I love you! Did you hear that? I love you, Emma Harrison! I love you with everything in me. If I was honest with myself, I've probably loved you since that first night at O'Malley's."

"I don't want to fuck you or have sex with you. I want to make love to you, Em."

I'm really glad that although Emma's pregnancy hormones are all over the place, her emotions didn't buried Aidan's. This book actually focused more on him and showed his emotional and vulnerable side. This wasn't just about fixing their relationship and having the baby, but also about Aidan's emotional and character growth. That back story did a great job supporting it despite it's one-time mention.

Ms. Ashley, you definitely met my expectation and satisfied me. I was swooned, hurt and really happy with all the things that happened in here. I love how the secondary characters made an impact to the plot and gave more back story. It made this book not just about Aidan and Emma, but also about those who are close to them.

I can't wait to read the companion novel which is about Pesh. Aside from the two, I really want him to have his own happy ending.

After a roller coaster of emotions (I seriously feel like having Emma's hormones), I'm glad of this book's outcome. Let me just cheer on Aidan and Emma's family, one more time.

Looks like Aidan's in for a real shit to gain Emma's forgiveness for her not to inform him about their son's name. I'm really glad to see that although Emma's pregnancy hormones are all over the place, it seems that it's Aidan's emotions that were highlighted.

Soon their baby-making sessions become more than just physical. Aidan can't seem to walk away from her while Emma begins to wonder if Aidan could be the one. But can Aidan leave his past behind to become the man Emma needs him to be?

Just when I couldn't wait to finish reading a page so I can turn it to the next one, then I was smacked by...

"To be continued in The Proposal out on March 15, 2013"

After a dramatic and quite exciting scene for me, the story ended with a killer cliffy. But aside from that, this is just filled with romance, sweetness and drama that would knock you off your feet. It could easily be one of those books that would make you want to cuddle.

There are times when I can't stand Emma. There were few times in the beginning of the story when she was a bit whiny and such a good girl but after first night with Aidan, there seem to be a change in her personality that I liked. Or maybe it was her when she's with someone she's comfortable with.

According to others, Aidan was a player--the one girls usually avoid but he seems to be a sweet and attentive guy despite of his reputation. Well, maybe except for a certain incident. But the way he was presented is opposite to how he was described by other characters who knows him. I am excited to get to know him more in the second book.

Ashley made two amazing and cute characters. The secondary characters were even lovable. They were easy to read. The plot wasn't even complicated. Despite the drama this story ensures, it wasn't due to the complexity of the story. It was actually easy to digest. It's just the way it was written that made the feelings in this exist.

I cannot wait for the next one! I am ready to be swooned by Aidan's ways to win Emma back, and I'm thrilled to meet the kid. I just hope he will be exposed to the readers more than just being in the epilogue.
